Peak District
Residential, October 2007 -
in Spring 2007, a group of
young women wrote a successful bid to the Youth Opportunity Fund
and received funding to run a residential for 14 young women
from different backgrounds to spend three days together getting
to know each other and breaking down barriers. In October
2007, they went to Lockerbrook, an outdoor activity centre in
the Peak District, where they had a fantastic time, enjoying
caving and team building activities, as well as loads of fun and
games… and a very spooky Halloween party out in the hills!!!!
Lots of new friendships were formed and a great time was had by
all!
Here is one participant’s impression
of the trip .
74 young people
from Tinsley took part in trips
during Summer 2007 organised
by Tinsley
Forum Youth Project which included visits to
Drayton Manor theme park, Underbank Outdoor Activity Centre,
Bradford Imax Cinema, Media Museum and Lister Park,
Barnsley Metrodome
Leisure Centre, and
Buxton Horse
Riding. See the photos ...
